Toshiba Says It Will Launch HD DVD Player in Late 2005

In a September 28 report by Japan's Jiji Press, Toshiba's Corporate Senior Vice President Yoshihide Fujii was quoted as saying that the company will roll out HD DVD players by the end of 2005 in the Japanese market with a price of approximately 100,000 Yen, after which they will be introduced in the United States in February or March 2006. The executive also stated the company will launch HD DVD recorders in mid-2006.
